BDG gains “Golden Innovations FMCG & Retail 2021” certificate for the KOTEX brand
238 market novelties competed for the title of the most innovative product in 2021 in the “Golden Innovations FMCG & Retail” competition. It was a consumers’ choice which got the KOTEX UltraSorb tampons from the Brand Distribution Group the award in the most demanding category: “Addressing the market needs”.
“Golden Innovations FMCG & Retail” is the largest consumer competition on the Polish market, selecting the most innovative FMCG products and solutions in the retail industry, which in the last year had a significant impact on the development of the market, categories and on consumer behaviours. 238 market novelties were submitted to the 3rd edition and competed in five categories: TASTE, INGREDIENTS, PACKAGING, ADDRESSING THE MARKET NEEDS and MOMENTS WITH THE PRODUCT. The winners were selected in an online consumer survey. The products and retail solutions that received the highest and second but highest number of votes were awarded.
The KOTEX brand competed with market novelties in the wide “Cosmetics and Hygiene” group. According to consumers, KOTEX UltraSorb tampons won the second place and the “Golden Innovations FMCG & Retail” certificate in the “Addressing the market needs” category.
The awards gala took place on October 25 this year at the Kamienica Theatre in Warsaw. The announcement of the results was preceded by the INNOVATION DAY conference. Robert Łobko, Marketing Director, received the award for the KOTEX brand on behalf of the Brand Distribution Group.
– KOTEX is an extremely popular women hygiene brand in the USA and in Europe. It is just making its debut in Poland, and it’s in a very competitive segment. Therefore, the distinction awarded by customers is of special importance to us. This is a signal that the offer of the KOTEX brand has been noticed by customers and, above all, the results of the competition confirmed that it fits into the needs of the Polish market – said Robert Łobko.
KOTEX is an American brand that revolutionized the market of menstrual hygiene products for women. Since 1920, it has continuously supported women all over the world by creating innovative products to respond their needs. The awarded in this year’s “Złote Innowacje FMCG & Retail” competition KOTEX UltraSorb tampons are one of them. They are distinguished not only by the aesthetics and the feminine design of 16 tampons closed in a handy box, but above all, by a solution that improves the comfort of using the product during the most demanding days for a woman.
KOTEX is another brand from the Brand Distribution Group offer, next to HUGGIES and KLEENEX, which was awarded this year in the prestigious FMCG industry competition. The manufacturer of the brands is Kimberly-Clark – a world leader in personal care products, whose sole representative in Poland is the Brand Distribution Group.
